What we do?

We provide specialist support groups (Memory Clubs) for people with dementia and their carers across Bradford and Keighley.

We want to promote a dementia-friendly community, by providing free information and education through social groups, road-shows and open-days/coffee mornings.

Supporting people with dementia

We currently run 4 memory clubs where people with dementia can meet in a safe and caring environment for ‘fun and friendship therapy’:

  • to enjoy sociable time
  • structured around themes related to topical events/time of year
  • provide reminiscence
  • practical activities may include crafts, basic gardening, games, food tasting
  • singing and music

Supporting carers

At the memory clubs, carers can meet in a separate room and have the opportunity for peer-support from other carers. A specialist group leader will also provide information and support across many topics.
